Tyler B. Bembenek is the recipient of this year’s Award of 
Excellence in German Studies. Tyler’s outstanding accomplishments in German Studies and IR are known campus-wide. He has an astonishing 3.95 overall GPA for his four years at W&M. He studied at Middlebury College Summer German Academy, is the recipient of the Prestigious Robert Gates Scholarship, with which he was able to study at Oxford University. He graduates with Honors in International Relations and German Studies – no small feat in itself – and has recently been awarded the Alumni Association Student Academic Prize in International Relations.
